July 2025

Capital Improvements - In Progress

Stormwater detention basins located at Dupont Circle, Kingwood Street, and Evergreen Park within the Evergreen Neighborhood.

Evaluate effects of removing the tributary area north of Dexter by installing a storm sewer along Dexter as part of the sidewalk project.

Valley Drive Reconstruction - In Progress

Revised grading along Valley Drive to control stormwater from going into front yards.

The proposed concept profile was designed to match the existing low points, and to have most of the driveways slope towards the road within the right of way.

New ditches on either side of the road are being evaluated (existing infrastructure conflicts).

Staff are working on property and easements acquisitions
Staff are evaluating the feasibility of the installation of a storm sewer on Dexter – submitting to MDOT for approval or denial
Staff are working on preliminary designs for the regional stormwater storage ponds
