Why is this project being done?
The Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program is a formal process for residents and property owners to engage the city in a partnership to explore traffic concerns, and potential solutions, on local streets. During a recent resident meeting to discuss design elements for traffic calming in their neighborhood, ADA concerns were brought forward. The Transportation Team has met with the City’s ADA Coordinator regarding the concerns to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and how to proceed with a comprehensive review of the Residential Traffic Calming Program to address those concerns.
