South Maple Road Water Pressure Improvements

Project Overview

This project is being done to address the low water pressures on the west side of South Maple Road from Breckenridge Drive to Country Village Court.

May 18, 2026 Update

NOTICE OF PROJECT DELAY 05/18/2026

The South Maple Road Water Pressure Improvements Project has been delayed due to the contractor’s manufacturing lead time for critical project components.

The estimated construction start date is now Fall 2026.

Work to be done

Water Main Additions

New 8-inch ductile iron water main will be placed at Durango Drive and South Maple Road to create a looping water main system from Avant Avenue to Country Village Court.

Check Valve Installation

Check valves will be installed at Breckenridge Drive and Country Village Court.

Cost and funding source

This project is funded by the City of Ann Arbor Water Utility Fund.
